How To Use Twitter To Build Your PeopleString Business

When advertising on any social media websites it is important to give as much value as possible so the people in which you are trying to connect with will look forward to reading what you have to offer. One of the ways in which people use social networks is to add several friends, send emails and then prey that someone clicks on your link and joins your team. This can be very time consuming and extremely ineffective because if you do have success it is by chance not skill. It is important to be very strategic with the way you advertise.

Try to really connect with people and use these websites to try to learn new things rather than to recruit people into your business. Everyone on these websites especially if they are in the home business industry use these websites to advertise their business. So you have to be able differentiate yourself from the competition. Try to use these websites to learn new ways to market your business so when you post on these websites you will be viewed as more of a trainer than a spammer.

You want others to look at you as a person who offers great insights and knowledge about the industry. You want to be the person who has all the answers and can provide the tools necessary to help individuals who may be struggling in their business. When this happen more times than not people will naturally ask you what is is that you do and they will be more inclined to follow you. You can offer value by sharing articles, websites, forums and several other training tools on twitter. Use bitly.com to shorten your links so you can provide more details in your threads.

Also be sure to reply to your direct message and re tweet things that you find valuable.  Also try to keep your following as close to how many people are following you as possible.  If you are following way more people than there are people who are following you, this can make you appear like you don’t tweet valuable content.  The strategy that I use is I only keep people who have directly sent me a message.  That way I at least know they use twitter to actually communicate.  If I feel they are a spammer I will stop following them.

Also send messages that don’t have a link attached to it sometimes.  If you always send a message with a link you look more like a spammer.  Communicate on Twitter with the mindset that you are really there to connect.  Let people really get to know you.  If you build a following of individuals who have directly responded to you and perceive you as a person who offers nothing but value.  When you do send a thread that says, Are you advertising on PeopleString Yet?  You will have a much higher ratio of individuals who respond to your messages and want to join you.

Twitter is a great way to advertise your business and I actually do a live training on my webinars as well as on my free PeopleString Boot Camp training.  You can register for the Boot Camp Training by by putting your name and email in the form.  These training will give you a huge advantage over the competition and will provide you much more value to offer to the people in your string.

I started using Twitter back in November, since then I’ve begun to love it. What started out as a love hate relationship it’s allowed me to network with people in my business alot easier. News and updates happen in quickly which makes for a great social communication app.

  8. Hi
Ive used twitter for nearly a year and have 40,000 follower, what ive found if you use bitly (you can see numbers of hits to your link) the rate per message is around 10 hits (that with all these followers) so what i do is put my peoplestring link as a welcome DM message using tweetlater.com (on a daily basis twitter allows i think 500 new friends to follow, so that is 500 DM’s with the peoplestring link attached)

If peoplestring could set up a RSS feed that would be good for twitter, facebook and blogs etc

Im new to peoplestring but i can see potential happening on this site…

    thanks for some useful tips
